Dan Mead

Dan Mead is an educator turned clinical social worker who has lived and worked in the Berkshires for over 25 years.  Dan has spent most of his professional life working with independent schools, and consulting with hospice organizations.  From living in a bedroom community outside Boston, Dan and his wife, Sally Eagle moved to Great Barrington in 1981 where they found a community in which interdependencies seem to thrive.  Sally was the first Executive Director of the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation.  Dan has retired from his private practice to devote time to his twin addictions, travel and photography. Recently, he was one of the winners of the 'Wildlife Photographer of the Year, 2008' award sponsored by the Natural History Museum of London and BBC Wildlife Magazine. Dan and Sally remain enthusiastic South County residents.
