Nancy Orenstein

Nancy strives each day to find a more sustainable lifestyle and would love to see wind, solar and geothermal power become more accessible.  Healthly food is another aspect of sustainability which Nancy is passionate about and she works to encourage schools to eliminate highly processed, industrial food.
Nancy Orenstein is currently involved in education, having dabbled in finance and psychology. She is a graduate of Barnard College(BA), Stern School of Business(MBA) and the Steinhardt School Education at NYU(MA).
 
 As a resident of Great Barrington for more than twelve years, Nancy has been witness to the changing economy of the Berkshires. She is an active member of Hevreh. Nancy has worked as a volunteer for Heifer International, Solar1, and Parents in Action and serves on the parents' associations of both of her children's schools. In good weather, Nancy can be found navigating her kayak down the Housatonic.
