As of May 15th 2014, Berkshire Bank has temporarily withdrawn from exchange in BerkShares.  Salisbury Bank and Trust, Lee Bank, Lenox National Bank, and Pittsfield Coop Bank will continue to exchange federal dollars for BerkShares at all their currently participating branches. In fact, Salisbury Bank and Trust will soon begin BerkShares exchange services at its new Main Street, Great Barrington branch. To learn more about this change, please see our FAQ page.

You can find up-to-date BerkShares Business Directories in all of our BerkShares Exchange Banks. We also have the new directory in poster format, available by request. If you would like to let your customers know that you accept BerkShares, download this image to include on your website or invoices.

BerkShares were recently featured on the PBS NewsHour and Al Jazeera America. And the "Your Business" show on MSNBC pointed to BerkShares as one of the ways that Great Barrington is keeping the local economy vibrant. See the Al Jazeera Story here.
