We have several things to report:

1.  John Isaacs has won the Graphis Design Annual 2009 Gold Award for hisdesign of BerkShares! Graphis Awards are the Oscars of the design world. Congratulations to John for the well deserved recognition.  Everyone loves the look of BerkShares.  To see more of John’s work: www.johnisaacsdesign.com

2. The BerkShares Auction took in fifteen thousand BerkShares and federal dollars.  A big thanks to all the businesses that donated auction items.  A beautiful night and a beautiful setting at Crissey Farms.  Plans are already underway for next year’s auction.  Look for ads thanking our donors.

3.  Berkshires' Best, a weekly sent  free in the mail to residents of the region, is the latest venue to accept BerkShares for advertising.  Email: ethan@berkshiresbest.net for affordable rates.

The Berkshire Visitor’s Bureau 2008 Guide highlights businesses that accept BerkShares.  The guide is often the first thing tourists see when in the area.  Our summer visitors may not be familiar with how to use their BerkShares.  Please remind your staff to help them through the process.

If you need additional information postcards to help with the explanation, just ask for them by return email.  You can also pick them up at the Southern Berkshire Chamber of Commerce’s information booth on Main Street, Great Barrington.
