Dear Friends,

As a way to reach out to new businesses BerkShares is planning regular
informational meetings. The first is this coming Monday, November 3rd at
5:30 PM at the Route 7 Grill.

At the meeting we will review the following:

What are BerkShares?
Why a local currency
Where to get them (12 branches of five local banks)
How to take them at your business
How to account for them
Where to recirculate them
Stories from businesses about how they use BerkShares
How to convert to federal dollars
How to sign up to accept
How to let your customers know you accept them
Future plans for the program

Please feel free to invite owners and staff of prospective businesses to the
meeting. The more businesses accepting BerkShares, the more opportunities
there are for re-circulation, and the greater the multiplier effect of local
exchange.

Also if you have new staff unfamiliar with the program who you think would
benefit from an informational meeting, please extend an invitation to them
to attend.

Rte 7 Grill is providing complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. Just
